Pizza comes in lots of shapes and sizes, with tons of options for sauces and toppings. It can be traditional Italian with minimal cheese and fresh toppings, loaded with cheese, or anywhere in between. It can come from a national chain like Pizza Hut, a regional chain like Cincinnati's well-loved  LaRosa's  or one of many wonderful locally owned and operated pizerias. Batesville is known for fried chicken and pizza, but on National Pizza Day, I just knew I had to celebrate our local deliverers of deliciousness. Pizza Haus  used to be part of Schmidt Bakery. I mentioned Langen in a  previous post  but didn't have a lot of experience there yet. Now that we've lived in Batesville for a while (a year yesterday!) we've had more opportunities to check them out and I'm SO glad we have! Langen Meats first opened their doors in Cincinnati 1924 in and has grown to 3 locations on Cheviot Road in Cincinnati, Harrison Avenue in Harrison and Pearl Street in Batesville. I love how they've grown while still maintaining their local feel.  When you walk in, you're greeted by a friendly face, delicious meats and loads of local products. Hubs loves the pickles and the jerky and I can't wait to try the Bourbon Barrel Raw Honey. Can you think of anything better?! In addition to great cuts of meat, housemade deli sides and local products, the biggest thing I love about Langen is how much they make in house.   We've seen a lot of changes in 2020. People are spending more time in their homes. Consequently they're also spending more time thinking about why the chose their current home and what they might like in a new home.  There are people looking for more space. There are people looking for the ability to do home renovations and projects in their own home. Most importantly, there are people looking for a space to call their own. Statistically, 74% of homeowners bought their current home because they wanted more space. Of course, a lot of those people wanted the space so they could host company or start a family, but I'm sure those people were glad they had that space during the lockdown!  Working as a Realtor, location is extremely important for me. With Hubs working in IT from home, highspeed internet is a must. So for us, our current home was the right balance of location, space and conveniences.  So I'm curious, why did you buy your current home?

I recently transferred agencies to Lohmiller Real Estate. One of the things I really appreciate about LRE is our weekly workshops. We celebrate new listings, closed deals, birthdays and anniversaries. We share tips, talk about market trends and receive training. In general, we learn from and support each other. In our workshop this past week, one of our lending partners shared a story about a client she recently worked with. They had opted to buy a home unrepresented by a Real Estate agent and were relying on her to do not only her job, but that of an agent, as well. She was overhwhelmed by the additional work and ultimately had a few things she couldn't help them with. Long story short, a few days after closing, when it was time for her buyers to get the keys from the sellers and take posession of their new home...the sellers were nowher...

I remember as a child, sitting in the back of my dad's truck at the farmer's market, nibbling on sweet corn, raw and shuck still on the end. His veggies were THAT good. Although my family no longer grows sweet corn, we've had a huge garden down at the farm as long as I can remember, and spend countless hours growing, weeding, watering, canning and freezing our tasty crop. As a Realtor, I'm often looking for inexpensive marketing strategies. My email signature and business cards are great, but there have to be more ways to get my name out there. I have my blog, my  Facebook page  and my  Instagram  but I need content for those, so I'm always looking for ideas. One thing I consistently see is "take a picture of your work space and share about your projects for the day. I've held out on this one because my office is cluttered, chaotic and full of stuff that doesn't seem to be Real Estate related.  Hubs had surgery this morning. You may have noticed some changes around here and on my  Facebook and  Instagram  pages.  It's because I've moved! Having grown up in Deaborn County and lived in Southeast Indiana all my live, I have strong connections to the community and love helping others develop the same. My husband and I recently moved to Batesville and I'm finding it even more important to make strong ties in my community. As such, we made the difficult decision for me to leave Sibcy Cline to find a brokerage better suited to myselve and my Indiana clients. It is with great pleasure that I announce I have found my new Real Estate home and have transferred my license to Lohmiller Real Estate.
